Residential Moving questions
Local moves are billed by the hour: a crew rate (based on crew size) times the estimated hours for your home, plus a travel fee. Our instant calculator shows the full breakdown — crew rate, hours, travel and any add-ons — as a price range before you book. The clock starts when we arrive and stops when the last item is placed, so you only pay for the time the move actually takes.
Every move includes the crew, the truck, fuel for local moves, and standard protection: moving blankets, shrink wrap, dollies, straps and floor protection. Basic disassembly and reassembly of furniture is included. Packing materials and full packing service are optional add-ons you can choose in the quote.
To hold your date we may take a small refundable deposit that is credited toward your final invoice. The exact deposit and terms are confirmed when you book. [TODO: confirm your real deposit amount and refund window here.]
Stairs and the absence of an elevator add time and effort, so they can modestly increase the estimate (typically a 10–15% adjustment). Elevator-only buildings are usually straightforward as long as a service elevator can be booked. Tell us your floor and access in the quote and we'll factor it in up front — no surprises on move day.
The more notice the better, especially for month-end and summer weekends, which fill up first. Two to four weeks ahead is ideal, but we'll always try to accommodate shorter timelines — get a quote and check availability online any time, day or night.
