About us
Two brothers. Every move, done ourselves.
Our story
Why we started Rideau Move Co.
We're Omar and Maalik, two brothers from Ottawa. We started Rideau Move Co. together in 2026, and we're still the ones who show up: we quote the job, we plan it, and we carry the furniture.
That's the whole idea. When the owners are on every move, there's no crew to blame and no call centre between you and the people responsible. The person who quoted your move is the person loading the truck.
We run it as a registered Ontario corporation, and it shows in the paperwork: a written quote before you book with every charge on it, a receipt after, and a public Google review page where you can see how it went for everyone before you.
We also specialize in long-distance moves. Ottawa to Toronto, Ottawa to Montreal, Kingston, and anywhere else in Ontario and Quebec: one crew loads at your old door and unloads at your new one, with nothing transferred between trucks along the way.
